Seattle Mariners
The Mariners are Seattle's Major League Baseball team, originally franchised in 1977 and are part of the West division of the American League. They have played home games at Safeco Field, in the SoDo District, since the 1999 season. The team name “Mariners” comes from the prominent maritime culture in Seattle and the Pacific North West region. The team nickname is the “M's” which comes from the primary logo that adorned team baseball caps from 1987 – 1992. The team has a long and rich history, including such iconic players as Ken Griffey Jr, Randy Johnson and Edgar Martinez. Frustratingly, for their fans, the Mariners are one of only two current baseball teams to never have reached the World Series, the other being the Washington Nationals.

Seattle Sounds FC
Sounders The Seattle Sounders are the local Major League Soccer franchise team. The Seattle Sounders were established in 2007 as an expansion team in the Western Conference of the MLS. The Sounders ownership group includes majority owner Adrian Hanauer, as well as high profile personalities, including former Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and celebrity comedian and game show host Drew Carey. The Sounders play home games at CenturyLink Field in the SoDo District of Seattle. The Sounders have qualified for the MLS Playoffs in each of their first seven seasons and winning the U.S. Open Cup three times in a row. The Seattle Sounders have the best average home attendance of any current MLS team, and arguably the best fans.

Seattle Storm
The Seattle Storm are the local Women's National Basketball Association franchise team. The Seattle Storm was franchised in 2000. The Storm is owned by an all-female ownership group. The Storm plays home games in the Key Arena located in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. The team has made the WNBA Playoffs in eleven of sixteen seasons. The Storm has reached the WNBA only twice and won both times, in 2004 and 2010. President Obama, who invited the Storm to the White House after their 2010 win, stated that they are role models for young women.

The Seattle Seahawks are the local National Football League franchise team. The Seattle Seahawks were established in the year 1976 as an expansion team. The Seahawks compete in the Western Division of the National Football Conference of the NFL. The Seahawks owner is former Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. The Seahawks play home games at CenturyLink Field in the SoDo District of Seattle. The Seattle Seahawks have won nine division titles, three conference championships and have appeared in three Super Bowls, winning against the Denver Broncos in 2014.
